Parenting is one of the most important jobs we will ever have. This workshop provides parents with some tips and tools on parental responses that encourage helpful family relationships.

Who is this service for?

This program is for parents/carers of children aged 0 – 12.

The program is available in Launceston, Hobart and Devonport.

What can I expect from this course?

The course is delivered in a group setting.

You will learn:

  • more about your own existing parenting style and how this can be more effective;
  • how to identify the important messages, and how to communicate with your chid/ren;
  • about brain development in children and its influence on their thoughts, feelings and behaviour;
  • how to understand the meaning of children’s behaviour;
  • how to take care of yourself and find support when needed.
