Emotional Regulation
Understanding our emotions can help us respond to challenging situations with greater awareness and confidence.
This free session explores emotional regulation, including why we experience difficult emotions, where anger comes from and how our feelings can influence our thoughts, behaviours and relationships.
Participants will discover practical strategies to recognise emotional triggers, manage intense feelings and communicate uncomfortable emotions in constructive ways. Through reflection and practical activities, participants will develop a greater understanding of their emotional responses and learn ways to pause, regulate and respond rather than react. These skills can support healthier communication, stronger relationships and improved everyday wellbeing.
This workshop is funded by the Family Relationship Centre – an initiative of the Australian Government.
