Seasons for Growth

Seasons for Growth is a small group program for children and young people aged 6–12 who are experiencing significant life changes, such as the death of a loved one, parental separation or divorce, moving house, or changes in friendships. It helps them to understand and express their feelings in a safe and supportive way.

The program uses the idea of the seasons to help children and young people understand that change and grief are a normal part of life, and that feelings can come and go over time.

Through the program, children and young people also build skills in communication, decision-making and problem-solving, and are supported to connect with others who may be going through similar experiences, helping them feel less alone.

This workshop is part of the GriefCare Tasmania pathway, a caring network of services here to support you through grief, loss and bereavement.

GriefCare Tasmania offers a simple, single point of contact so you don’t have to navigate this alone. Whatever your situation, we can help connect you with the right support that feels right for you.
