Redress Support Service
The Redress Support Service helps people who experienced child sexual abuse in an institution before July 2018 access the National Redress Scheme.
The National Redress Scheme is an Australian Government program that offers support, payments, and acknowledgement to people who experienced this abuse.
We provide a safe, confidential space where you can feel heard, respected, and supported as you navigate the Scheme.
Our team can meet with you in person, by phone, or through outreach. We can guide you through the application, help with paperwork, offer counselling and practical support, and connect you with free legal, financial, or other specialist services if needed.
Across Tasmania, the service is delivered by Relationships Australia Tasmania, Sexual Assault Support Service, and the South East Tasmanian Aboriginal Corporation who work together to offer choice of service to people engaging with the Scheme.
