Forced Adoption Support Service
The Forced Adoption Support Service provides a safe and confidential space for people affected by past forced adoption practices to talk about their experiences. It is available to mothers, fathers, adoptees, and family members who have been impacted.
Our team can help you understand your history, search for records, and, where possible, reconnect with family. We also offer counselling to help you through trauma, grief, and loss, and can connect you with peer or group support if that feels right for you.
You can meet with us in person, by phone, or online. You choose what feels most comfortable, and we will support you at your pace with care and respect.
You can also stay connected through our quarterly community newsletter, YourNewsletter, for updates and information.
This program is funded by the Australian Government, Department of Social Services.
