Children’s Family Violence Counselling (ACORN)
ACORN provides free, confidential counselling to help children and young people affected by family violence feel safe, understood, and supported.
Experiencing or witnessing family violence can be frightening and confusing, especially for children and young people. Our service offers a safe and supportive space for those aged 5 to 18 to talk about what has happened and begin to make sense of their feelings.
Our trained counsellors create a trusting environment where your child or young person can work through their experiences at their own pace. We help them build safety, confidence, and emotional wellbeing. We also support parents and carers to better understand what their child or young person may be experiencing and how to provide the most helpful support.
The ACORN program is funded by the Australian Government, Department of Social Services.
